This policy explains what information Chargly collects, how we use it, and how we handle data across our website, early-access flows, and product surfaces.

Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: email address when you join the waitlist or sign up; account and profile information when you create an account (via our authentication provider); and any information you submit through our product, such as customer IDs and event names when you use our APIs. We also collect standard log data such as IP address, request timestamps, and browser type when you use our website or services.
How we use information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, communicate with you about your account and product updates, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Waitlist and account information
When you join the waitlist or create an account, we collect your email and any other information you provide. We use this to manage early access, send transactional communications, and provide the Service. Account creation and authentication are handled by our auth provider; their privacy policy applies to that flow.
Usage and analytics data
When you use Chargly's APIs, SDK, or product surfaces, we collect usage data such as API call volume, event types, and feature usage. This helps us operate the Service, improve reliability, and understand how the product is used. We also collect analytics on our website (e.g., page views, referral sources, CTA clicks) to improve the site experience.
Payments and third-party providers
Chargly does not store payment card details. When you or your end users make payments (e.g., credit top-ups), payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment information according to their own privacy policy. We receive billing-related metadata from Stripe (e.g., transaction status, amount) to sync credit purchases to wallets and manage subscriptions. We do not have access to full card numbers or card verification data.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality (e.g., session management, authentication) and for analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality.
Data sharing
We share data with service providers necessary to operate the Service: hosting, authentication, payment processing (Stripe), and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes).
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and secure storage practices. You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and account credentials. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
International users
Chargly is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights regarding your data; contact us to exercise them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
